Camille Rose Garcia

Born in 1970, Camille Rose Garcia is an American artist influential in contemporary art. Numerous key galleries and museums, such as Art Share LA, have featured Garcia's work in the past. Her work is characterized by having gothic, creepy and cartoonish features. She often says that Walt Disney and Philip K. Dick have been great artistic influences in her career. 

Garcia's broken and layered paintings of fairy tales in wastelands act as critical commentaries on the failures of capitalist utopias, mixing nostalgic pop culture references with a satirical slant on modern society.
